Todd And Julie Chrisley’s First Moments Together Post-Pardon Described As ‘Overwhelming’

Posted on June 3, 2025

After Todd and Julie Chrisley were pardoned by President Donald Trump, their son Chase Chrisley shared an emotional reunion with them. Chase described their first embrace after prison as a “beautiful moment” filled with tears and joy. During incarceration, Todd and Julie mainly communicated via delayed emails, making conversations difficult.

Chase also noted changes in their appearances—Julie’s hair was darker, and Todd had been working out daily in prison. Savannah Chrisley, their daughter, actively lobbied for their pardon and expressed deep gratitude to President Trump and others who helped secure their release.

The pardons were granted on May 27, 2025, and the family was reunited the following day. The Chrisleys had been convicted of conspiracy, tax evasion, and fraud related to falsified financial records and unpaid taxes. Savannah announced they are working on a new reality show about their legal battles and life after the pardon.

White House spokesperson Harrison Fields said President Trump believes the Chrisleys were overly prosecuted and deserving of a second chance. Since taking office, Trump has granted clemency to thousands, including those he views as unfairly treated.
